Most products are designed for a younger generation, but there is a growing senior population that needs accessible design. User experience can be made compatible for older adults by accounting for perceptual, cognitive and social changes that accompany aging. We have worked with companies such as AIG and Disney to improve services for people of all ages. We offer consultation and services that can improve quality design for a range of products to better serve older consumers.
There is a growing market of older consumers and design factors need to cater towards how people change with age. This can take the form of improving input of information (text size, buttons), remembering information (steps to complete an on-line purchase), and retrieving events and experiences (so that repeat customers are happy with the consumer experience). We use a cognitive consumer approach to improve design and user experience with the older consumer in mind.
Consumer access is changing, with a variety of services and products available on-line and through access to technology. However, older consumers are often not considered when making design and consumer product plans to engage older adults, who represent a growing market. We can help reinvent the consumer experience by helping companies to consider how to engage older adults.
